Mug boxes for Warmth in the palms

A handmade mug sits in a two-piece lid and base box measuring 16 x 16 x 12.5 cm inside. Foam 2 cm thick lines the walls and the bottom and is covered with brown satin: this soft nest wraps the mug on all sides and keeps it from moving. The box is covered with dark brown Pergraphica, and the lid slides easily over the base, covering the mug completely.

Gloss gold hot foil stamping transfers onto the lid a drawing of palms holding a cup inside a heart, the Warmth in the palms name, a short line about handmade comfort and the maker's name. The foil creates relief and a mirror shine, so the thin lines stay visible on the dark brown paper even in dim light.
